The Indian Intellectual Property Office (IPO) has taken significant steps to streamline and digitize the trademark registration process. You can register for an account on the  Indian Intellectual Property Office (IPO) website.  Once you have registered, you will be able to log in to the online portal and file your trademark application.

To register for an account, you will need to provide the following information:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your contact number
• Your DSC certificate number

2. Search for similar trademarks

Before you file your application, it is important to search the trademark database to make sure that your mark is not similar to any other registered trademarks. You can search the database on the IPO website.

To search the database, you will need to provide the following information:

• The mark that you are searching for
• The goods or services that you use the mark with

The search results will show you a list of all registered trademarks that are similar to your mark.

3. Complete the application form

The application form will ask for information about your trademark, such as the mark itself, the goods or services that you use the mark with, and the class of goods or services.

You will need to provide the following information on the application form:

• The mark that you are applying for registration
• The goods or services that you use the mark with
• The class of goods or services
• Your name and address
• Your contact information
• A description of your mark
• A signed copy of the application form

4. Upload the required documents

You will need to upload a digital copy of your trademark mark (e.g., logo) and a signed copy of the application form.

You can upload the documents to the online portal by clicking on the “Upload Documents” button.

5. Pay the application fee

The application fee is currently INR 4,000. You can pay the fee online using a credit card or debit card.

To pay the fee, click on the “Pay Application Fee” button.

6. Submit your application

Once you have completed the application form, uploaded the required documents, and paid the application fee, you can submit your application online.
